I love being from Washington.

I love that everyone complains about the rain even though it rains almost every day.

I love that everyone freaks out if it snows, even if it doesn’t stick.

I love that I am surrounded by forests pretty much everywhere I go.

I love getting lost in those forests.

I love that most people here are open-minded.

I love that you can’t go to downtown Seattle without running into a kabajillion hipsters who think they’re photographers.

I love being able to watch the sunset over the water.

I love all of the hills.

I love that there’s a Starbucks every 2 blocks.

I love that you can tell who’s a tourist because they’ll have an umbrella even if it’s just sprinkling.

I love that there are at least some tourists (but there aren’t too many that it’s annoying).

I love all of the “strange” names we have for towns.

I could go on forever and ever but I think I made my point. I love Washington, even the sucky parts.
